  Like eating a home cooked meal. Best menu there is. You can get breakfast or dinner, doesn't matter time of day. You can have a nice steak or a big plate of country ham and biscuits. Could eat here daily.

  I showed up on slacker day, I guess. It was snowing outside I hoped the fireplace would be nice and warm but it wasn't even burning. I volunteered to start the fire myself but hostess7 said the manager went home (5pm, Jan 29) and she's the only one who could start it. And, par for that day, the mashed potatoes were cold, also the turnip greens. Who teaches these people about standards and ethics? Only people giving honest feedback.

  Slow service. If you order take out make sure you are getting the right order and that your order is correct. I have had two bad experiences with take out orders at this location. Food also doesn't taste as well at this location compared to their other locations. Eating in with a disabled person in an power wheelchair was not easy. The tables sit too low. Had to get a corner table just to have room, the other tables sit too close together to have room for the wheelchair. Maneuvering through the store was an obstacle course for the wheelchair.

  I generally like cracker barrel. The spot for this location is prime i think. The food though is mediocre at best. Some of the waitresses are polite but in a robotic sense. They say polite words, but as if it is just a step process to get tips. Their expressions show that they really do not want to be there and don't really care. I don't think all are like this, but it has been my experience the past couple times i have been there and the last time i was there, the food wasn't even worth eating.
